Hawaii Vacation Package Deals: Air Fare and Hotel Travel Packages for Luxury Trips at a Discount

Summer’s here! For a lot of us, this is the season to relax, travel, and explore other parts of the world. And, perhaps, take a vacation in Hawaii. After all, it’s still part of the US, yet feels closer to Tahiti or another Polynesian island. Frequent readers of this column know that Luxury Travel has a great affinity for the Hawaiian islands. And, what with the falling dollar, it’s strangely a more affordable luxury vacation destination than are the traditionally popular countries of Western Europe. To make up for the egregious air fare that stymies so many potential North American visitors to Hawaii, the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) has put together a collection of discount vacation packages and deals. The “Summer Fun” website organizes the vacation packages with various air and hotel travel partnerships.

Hawaii Vacation Travel Packages and Deals:

Orbitz offers a $200 savings on specific Hawaii vacation packages of 5 or more nights, as well as special deals good on each destination island. By booking a flight and hotel package, for example, guests can get special hotel offers like a free night and breakfast at the 4-star Marriott Resort & Beach Club in Kauai, 7th night free at the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa in Maui, a 30% savings at Oahu’s special Turtle Bay Resort, or 4th night free and breakfast at the Big Island’s Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa. Other participating hotels offer similar discounts in conjunction with the Orbitz air travel package deal.

Travelocity partners with the HVCB for $200 off air and hotel travel packages as well. Some participating resorts offer discounts on top of this for an even more affordable luxury vacation: ResortQuest Hawaii offers air and lodging packages at their resorts in Waikiki (Oahu), Kaanapali (Maui) and Kapaa (Kauai), while the Marriott Resort & Spa – a very high-end member of the Marriott family – includes 4th night free and daily breakfast for 2 in Waikiloa Beach (Big Island), Wailea (Maui), and Waikiki and Ihilani (Oahu). The Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Recency in Kauai both have a great travel deal of air fare plus 5 nights at under $1300 per person, plus a free night and daily breakfast for two.

Classic Vacations offers “Luxury for Less” with savings of up to $1000 per person, with free nights, free car rental and more. Some summer travel deals include saving between $550-$750 on a 7-night stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, 6 nights plus air travel from Los Angeles and a free rental car, plus 2 free nights at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa for $2,289 per person, 5 nights plus air travel from L.A. to Kona and a free rental car, plus a special deal on the room rate at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii, and 5 nights plus air from L.A. to Honolulu and a free rental car, plus one night free and daily breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa in Oahu.

American Airlines Vacations has a $200 savings on a Hawaii vacation package, with added discounts at many luxury resorts. Hotel packages include third night free, complimentary wi-fi, and daily breakfast at the Wyland Waikiki in Oahu, fourth night free and a $250 resort credit at the 5-star Ritz-Carlton in Maui, fifth night free, daily breakfast buffet and a $200 dining credit at the Princeville Resort in Kauai, and fifth night free and a $200 resort credit at the Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island of Hawaii.

United Airlines Vacations can save Hawaii lovers up to $900, starting with $200 off the air fare with promotion code “SummerSale.” The summer travel deals and packages change weekly, but some great discounts have been a free night and daily breakfast with a 5-night stay at the Sheraton Kauai Resort, a 5-night vacation and air travel package at the Moana Surfrider (a Westin) in Oahu with one free night, and the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big island’s 5-night stay with free daily breakfast for two.

Other companies that have partnered with the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau for vacation packages and travel deals include American Express, Pleasant Holidays, and NWA World Vacations. There’s never a bad season to vacation in Hawaii, but summer just got even better.
